After Hours Care

Our Locum Service, DoctorDoctor, can provide a home visit between 6:00pm and 8:00am Monday to Friday, and after midday on Saturday. 24 hour cover is provided on Sundays and Public Holidays.

Please call 132 660 to arrange a visit.

This service is Bulk Billed. 

Details of any consultations with the Locum Service will be forwarded to the surgery so that we may add this information to your health records.

Home Visits

After Hours Consultations may be available within 3 kilometres of the surgery for urgent issues where the patient is unable to attend the surgery.

Women's Health

We have three female doctors, experienced in all aspects of women's and children's health including shared maternity care and pregnancy counselling. Please ensure you book a long appointment for early pregnancy management.

Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions will be provided for a small charge if the doctor considers that a formal consultation is not warranted.

Please allow 24 hours to collect your prescriptions.

Vaccinations

All childhood and adult vaccinations are available. Common Travel Vaccinations are also available.

If required we can arrange annual flu vaccinations for local businesses and school staff.

Pathology

Dorevitch Pathology have a collection room at our surgery which is staffed from 8:00am until 12:00noon Monday to Friday.

Please phone the surgery between 1:00pm - 2:00pm to discuss your test results with Nurse Bri.

Skin Cancer Management

Dr James Mok and Dr Greg Chang both hold additional qualifications in Skin Cancer Management and are able to perform Skin Checks. Please advise reception if your are booking in for a Skin Check so that enough time may be allocated to your appointment.

Recalls and Reminders

Mooroolbark District surgery offers reminders for routine health checks such as Cervical Screening and Immunisations. Please advise us if you prefer not to receive these reminders.

We also have a computer based recall system for test results that require further action.

These recalls and reminders may be sent via SMS unless you advise us that you require another method of contact.
